The Self Advocating Artist

About me

My views are my own

➡ I speak of many things in my neurodivergent life, career, mental and physical health

➡ I have a proven track record of implementing adult support and wellbeing programs for the neurodivergent community, growing AsIAm’s National Autism Charity wellbeing support program from 3 to 20 in just four months

➡ I’m a former broker and QFA with over 20 years of experience and a Dip. FS. I was made redundant in 2015, and it was the beginning of the best and the rest of my life

➡ I set up my coaching and consulting business in 2016 after years of retraining in multiple coaching disciplines post-redundancy. After receiving a first-class honour in my MA in Leadership in Workplace Health, I expanded into more diverse and neurodivergent aspects of self-advocacy, facilitation, career coaching and wellbeing consulting

➡ I facilitate multiple Women’s Peer Support Groups on behalf of AsIAm to support self-identified and formally identified and late diagnosed Autistic women in navigating this transition with empathy and acceptance

I write my Self Advocating Autistic publication over on Substack. I do my writing as part of my life’s work but do not have any notions about making a full-time career or living from my publication.

Still, I do value my work as many others do also, and therefore, I would kindly ask if you find my writing of value and have any spare financial means to consider one of the following options:
